Gladiator II

For Gladiator II, I worked on the UK theatrical campaign for one of the year’s most anticipated releases, bringing Ridley Scott’s return to the world of Gladiator to audiences across the country. With such a huge ensemble cast, a big part of the campaign was making the most of names including Paul Mescal, Denzel Washington and Pedro Pascal, while keeping the scale and prestige of the film front and centre. I also worked across the Royal Film Performance, helping deliver creative for one of the campaign’s biggest and most high-profile moments.

Piccadilly Lights

Working alongside four major brands — LEGO, Samsung, Trainline and TK Maxx — I supported the creation of a bespoke Gladiator II takeover for the iconic Piccadilly Lights. Each brand was reimagined through a Roman-inspired creative treatment, bringing their individual identities into the world of Gladiator II and creating a coordinated takeover across one of London’s most recognisable digital landmarks.

To amplify the Piccadilly Lights takeover, we brought the world of Gladiator II onto the streets of London with a group of actors dressed as Roman gladiators. The gladiators travelled through key locations across the city, creating eye-catching moments and driving further attention around the campaign, before culminating in a photo call across Leicester Square cinemas and beneath the Piccadilly Lights creative.

Out of home

To broaden the campaign’s reach even further, we secured premium Cross Track 96-sheet sites across the London Underground, placing key talent and PLF messaging directly in front of commuters. The large-format placements gave the campaign strong visibility across high-footfall stations, helping reinforce the scale of Gladiator II and its premium cinematic experience.

Royal premier

I supported the Head of Publicity with the branding for the Gladiator II Royal Premiere, working across both print assets and digital screens throughout the event space.

The premiere was attended by King Charles III and Queen Camilla, alongside director Ridley Scott and members of the film’s principal cast, including Paul Mescal, Denzel Washington and Pedro Pascal.

Working across such a high-profile event gave me the opportunity to help deliver a cohesive visual identity across the premiere environment, ensuring the campaign creative translated effectively across both physical and digital touchpoints.

Event pos

Working closely with the Exhibitor team, I helped deliver branded cinema foyer takeovers across key locations, using campaign artwork to create a strong in-venue presence for Gladiator II.

The activity was designed to maximise visibility with cinemagoers while reinforcing the film’s scale, spectacle and premium positioning at the point of purchase.
